It all came pretty quick, no small snow that melted by the next day to break us in. Last weekend we were out and barely needed jackets now we have knee deep snow on the ground! The local report says 10.5 inches but it sure seems like more! Many highways were closed and schools and activities cancelled around the state. Dean worked on pushing some of the snow off the drive last night only to wake up to just as much this morning. Very heavy and wet stuff, as it rained first then sleet and finally snow. So tonight he will be putting in some major time snow blowing and blading!

As for opening deer season, it sure makes the hunting a bit more difficult having to trudge through so much snow - although they should be able to see the deer better. The plan was to go to Grammy and Gramps Grins for the weekend and do some hunting will hope travel will be better tomorrow. Gotta get the 30 pointer! Actually we have tags for 2 - 30 pointers!
